Quinn's Aquarium Deadly Creatures "Frozen"

When I was working on the Quinn's Aquarium story line this morning in Deadly Creatures, the game basically "froze" when I purchased the "Puff Piece". (This was badge #9 of 10 in Part 1 of the Deadly Creatures tank).

I was awarded the "Puff Piece" badge but am not able to progress in the story in this tank. The notepad disappeared and I can't even play a random game like suggested that could possibly "unfreeze". (It is like when the game was trying to add the "Puff Piece" it just stuck on this part and never could add it.)

All other tanks are fine, just this Deadly Creatures is frozen. 

i was told by a EA Representative during our chat today to post my issue on the EA help forums so it can be resolved considering non of the troubleshooting steps helped (trying different browsers, clearing cookies/cash, incognito browser, refreshing the game, logging out/in of Pogo, another computer). So this is what I am doing.

As you can see in the attached picture, no notepad or play options.

Just trying to get all the in-game award  badges before the game gets retired.
