abcj8263ibS22c I actually replied to your post about loading issues in Merge Academy a couple of months ago and I also noticed you had both Chrome and Edge installed — I really want to revisit that because I believe it may be the key to getting this resolved for you!
Special Note to all Readers: Browsers update every 2–4 weeks, and those updates can change the device’s configuration silently — sometimes enabling or disabling features automatically based on the manufacturer’s settings. Because every browser comes from a different company, each one has its own settings, cache, extensions, hardware‑acceleration options, blockers and update schedule that you have to monitor, clean, and troubleshoot for each browser separately.
Black/blank screens with browser‑based games
A black screen almost always means the game tried to load, but something in the browser or device blocked the content before it could render. The most common causes fall into a few predictable categories:
- Outdated browser components: Older versions of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox may fail to load game engines.
- Corrupted cache or cookies: A damaged cached file can stop the game canvas from initializing.
- Browser extensions blocking scripts: Ad blockers, script blockers, or privacy tools can prevent the game from starting.
- Hardware acceleration issues: GPU or driver hiccups can cause the browser to display a blank canvas.
- Outdated graphics drivers: Old or corrupted GPU drivers can prevent WebGL or hardware‑accelerated games from rendering.
- Permission or security settings: Blocked pop‑ups, cross‑site cookies, or tracking settings can interfere with game initialization.
- Security software interference: Antivirus or firewall tools may block game assets from loading.
- Internet Routers: Routers receive updates and can get stuck or lag, restarting both the router and the device can resolve loading failures.

Take your time, you may only need to check one or two issues to get things going again. Browsers can be very fickle, and they require a lot of attention.

OlewaifKg Hello! If you’re gaming on a Windows 10 device, some issues may be harder to resolve because the operating system is no longer receiving standard support. Please review this guide: Information for Windows 10 Users on Pogo: Understanding Recent Changes.
Windows 10 officially reached end of support on October 14, 2025, after this date, it is classified as a "legacy operating system", and users may notice performance degradation and reliability issues over time because the OS will no longer be updated to address new vulnerabilities or hardware changes

With Windows 10 now beyond its support window and older GPUs no longer getting meaningful optimizations, these devices have hit a technical ceiling. Performance is not going to improve and more issues will develop. It’s like a plant that’s been left without water — surviving for now but slowly fading.
As a player myself, I would strongly recommend upgrading to Windows 11 for your overall safety and security. Many issues can happen on outdated or unprotected systems, and older devices can become more vulnerable over time. For all Windows 10 users, please consider upgrading when you can — not just for Pogo, but for you 🙂
For other Device Users
Please know that there are currently mixed reports coming in regarding Tile Hero. The Pogo team is aware and has posted about it on the Pogo Player Support Page → Pogo Tech Support Page | Game Issues, Questions & Concerns
Interestingly, some Windows 11 and Mac players are loading the game without any issues while others on those same systems cannot, which is why Pogo is actively investigating it on their end. Because of this inconsistency, please take a moment to review the troubleshooting steps in this thread as they may help some.
On a personal note, I am currently on Chapter 3 and Tile Hero is a fun and unique game, unlike anything we’ve seen on Pogo before! Once this issue is resolved, I believe you will truly enjoy it too!

Tile Hero not loading -- black screen. Tried in Microsoft Edge and Chrome. Cleared cookies, etc. Still nothing. Problem is NOT my browser.

The game only goes to a black screen and never loads. This is NOT an issue with my version of Windows, because I have Windows 11.
In case it helps, Claire Hart Secrets and Monopoly Sudoku are also not working properly. Might these be related? (claire hart secret won't load, and monopoly is being stubborn about upgrading properties.)
