Contrary to their posts they are not listening, not helping and displaying an attitude that could be closely compared to disinterest or wilful neglect of a loyal long standing player community. Chatbots can only answer from a database of responses, an actual person can only follow the scripts they are given.
They continue to rollout an update they know is broken without care or regard for those impacted. They refuse to comment in the SCBI forum.
My advice try a different city builder and if you want spend your money there. Clearly EA/Track Twenty don’t care who we are, what we feel and how we are impacted and don’t want to support us.
Service 2.0 – Logistical Collapse and Massive Resource Loss (Mayor "USS Midway")
City and Regions running again.
A Clear Description of the Issue
The Service 2.0 update caused an immediate and catastrophic capacity failure in my 10-year-old, high-density city. My population collapsed from 7.2 million to 4.2 million overnight. The lack of communication regarding "gifted" compensation buildings in my inventory led to a week of emergency management that cost millions in rare currency.
Steps to Reproduce
Log into a high-density city (7.2M+ population) after the Service 2.0 update.
Observe immediate, widespread service deficits in Power, Water, and Sewage due to new capacity math.
Receive generic support advice blaming "road networks" while the city continues to collapse.
What I Expected Would Happen
I expected a clear announcement of the new capacity limits and a notification that compensation (fully upgraded service buildings) had been placed in my inventory to offset the change.
What Actually Happened
Total Resource Drain: Because the "gifts" were hidden in my inventory without notice, I spent 1.5 million Neo-Simoleons, 1 million Simoleons, and 8,000 SimCash (for a Maxis Manor) just to stabilize my city and four regions. Normally, Service Building cannot be stored so why would think to look there.
Support Failure: Official in-game support repeatedly blamed my road network, which was objectively false as my city returned to 100% happiness and pre-update population levels without a single road change.
Missed Seasonal Milestone: I spent 4 weeks grinding the Viking COM for the Viking Ship capstone. Because I was sidetracked by this update's chaos, I missed the seasonal currency window. That final upgrade now costs me 8,500 SimCash.
Suggested Tweaks for "EPIC" Improvement
Communication: Notify players in-game when service compensation is added to their inventory, with so many pop-up windows it was easy to miss (or "dismiss").
Reimbursement: Review account ledgers for players who were forced into massive expenditures due to the lack of update documentation.
Support Training: Ensure support staff are briefed on new updates so they stop blaming "road networks" for systemic service capacity changes. (This includes chatbots).
Technical Change: Fully Upgraded Service Building should have the capacity to support all residential properties in it's coverage area. Storage of all Service building should be allowed (at least during the rollout).
You can convert those items into seasonal currency even if you don't actually spend the currency.... frees up space in your depot!
I have no more feedback to offer other than the game is becoming pure trash. The only thing that can be done to improve things is close the game and shutter Tracktwenty and this entire forum (I mean for all the game sections - this entire forum is a waste of space). And give negative recommendations for anyone who wants a job referral.
This is the absolute worst. I am a Level 99 experienced player who has been playing this game for a long long long time. I gave it a shot, but after blowing over 1,000,000 coins and tons of currency from the other "lands" to try and make this work, I made the best decision so far... I have not actively played in a week. So, thank you for creating an update so terrible that it finally freed me from this game. But, I hope the money you make off people is worth it.
The new Christmas items are awful. Why the bloody heck can you not at least put them in the depot for Daniel? I have 250 star decorations clogging up my materials storage that I can’t do anything with except make other useless items that I also can’t sell.
The fact that someone who’s been playing this game for 10 years all of a sudden can’t make a city work is just kinda sucky. Worst update ever. Everything I had started at level 1 and needed to go upgraded just doesn’t make sense.
I am having serious issues with most services. My capital city used to have over 5 million and I had 12 million simoleons. I have had to use 8 million simoleons upgrading services that still aren’t working as they were before even fully upgraded. Most of my services (power, water, sewage) have a higher capacity than demand but still no services to my city. A lot of my city was omega buildings and it’s impossible to upgrade at this point to get services back. I’m almost at the point where I need to completely demolish and start over but that doesn’t make sense. Please fix these issues! All my roads are connected and working so it’s definitely not that.
