Some more thoughts...
I don't know about other players, but my preference when building / designing my cities was to ensure service buildings were not readily visible - why? Because they are god awful ugly.
I can't tell you enough how much I hate service buildings.
For me what would be EPIC would be transitioning game development to a team that prioritizes customer satisfaction and quality assurance testing, and rolling back the last three years of updates. The game is consistently littered with bugs, it's been going on most of the year. What in the world is going on. I know that development is never perfect and that bugs or errors can arise, but I feel like the issues we've encountered this year was excessive. I feel like there has been no consequence to EA for the poor quality of development.
It says a lot that there are NO answers to any questions asked. I mean, there isn't even a FAQ available.
And I really don't appreciate the nonchalance from EA about players' frustration.
Let me reframe the situation for EA staff: Imagine spending years of your life working on a passion project, for example, a garden. You spend season after season planting, weeding pesky plants, and trimming the plants. Finally, a magical spring comes and you find your garden blooming and you are thrilled and have a sense of fulfillment and happiness at your work - and then out of nowhere a plane piloted by an intoxicated being flies right into the garden and destroys it.
Dear EA staff, how would you react if a passion project of yours was suddenly upended. It's not a very good feeling is it?
Many players are seeing their passion projects get upended by something outside of their control. And instead of being given VIP treatment because we are customers that either pay money, or generate revenue by watching advertisements, we are treated like children peasants that do not matter.
