I imagine there's one bean counter standing beside the devs at all times preventing them from doing anything that would prioritize player engagement over potential revenue... Only problem is, for as long as most players can tell they aren't actually putting in the effort, they won't pay.

Seeing the AI generated deck graphics guaranteed that I wouldn't hand over a single cent. If EA can't be bothered to make the content in their game, why should I bother to pay for it?
