I want to add also, PLEASE do not remove the current way pumping works (the physics, not the score counter / rumble). It looks like it's entirely emergent which means the skill ceiling is infinite. People are going to be mastering this system and finding subtleties for months. I beg of you not to simply revert to skate 3's old system based on the feedback. People are confused and don't realize what the actual problem is and it's not due to the pumping physics, it's do to the score counter UI and rumble confusing them on the timing.
