That's one hell of a list 😅 but there are genuinely a lot of good ideas in there.
I especially agree with giving us more freedom with character customization. More body/face options, better hair customization, improved tattoos and more clothing variations would go a long way toward making everyone's skater actually feel unique.
The preset system also definitely needs more work. Having separate presets for outfits, character appearance, emotes and boards would make much more sense than having everything tied together. More slots, copy/paste and being able to reorder or name presets would be great QoL improvements too.
A few other things that really stand out to me are:
- Better Object Dropper controls, especially vertical rotation and snapping.
- Saving Replay Editor projects so you can come back and edit them later.
- More camera settings and undo/redo in Replay Editor.
- Favorites for clothing, emotes and Quick Drop objects.
- Better collision hitboxes and more options for who you have collisions enabled with.
- A manual deadzone slider.
- More control over clothing, like hood up/down, shirts open/closed, etc.
- Being able to purchase individual items from bundles instead of being forced to buy the entire bundle.
- Making gameplay related Quick Drop objects earnable rather than locking them behind paid shop bundles.
I'm also completely with you on the "Getting Unstuck" system. There have been plenty of situations where the game decides I'm stuck when I'm exactly where I want to be. At minimum, there should be an option to disable it.
Some of the bigger ideas like private servers with thousands of objects, properties, swimming, moving ships, mod support and extremely advanced character/tattoo customization are obviously much larger features, but I still think they're good ideas to put out there. Even if we only get a smaller version of some of them eventually, they could add a lot to the game.
Overall, there's a ton here, but I think the biggest thing I take away from the list is more player freedom. More freedom to customize your skater, your board, your world, your controls and how you interact with other players. That's something I'd definitely like to see SKATE. continue pushing toward as the game evolves.
