Map & Enviroment Fixes

Hedgemont:

  1. Issue:
    Incorrect surface material
    Detail: 
    The curved bank surface has a "grass" like material assigned, while the surrounding area is concrete.

  2. Issue: 
    Vertex overshoot
    Detail: 
    A vertex from the ground is overextended past the ledge. The overhang is partially hidden by backface culling from the ground level.

  3. Issue: 
    UV stretching
    Detail:
    Stretching caused by a missing UV.

  4. Issue:
    Flipped normal
    Detail:
    Flipped normal on a spraypaint prop causing backface culling.

    Good finds, I'll have a look at the parasols and update my reply. Off first glance I think its a Shader/Material or LOD issue, but it could also be intentional. I'll hop in-game and check them out.

    Update: 
    This may be intentional, but it could also be a mistake.

    Like most LODs, engines will swap to simplified meshes and materials based on distance. If it is intentional, the base color should match the LODs to make the transition less noticeable.

    I'm just not sure if it's intentional optimization or an issue that needs to be fixed.

    I also would like to report on these findings.

    1.  Issue:
      2x Trash cans clipping through the floor.
      Fix:
      Reposition prop to match terrain.
    Near the megacorp towards the underpass skatepark.

      Light fixture is placed off the wall.
      Fix:
      Reposition prop to match terrain.

    1. Issue:
      Dumpster clipping through the walls.
      Fix:
      Reposition prop to match terrain.
    Strand street - Near casper hotel

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    1. Issue:
      Parasols will turn from black to blue whenever player or camera gets near it.
    Nearly all black parasols in the city.
