Recent update, issues with grinds & ragdoll physics, tricks & push movement
I’m curious if anyone else has had increased physics issues since the most recent update done to the game (7th Nov) I play on Xbox series X and I know some physics have been touchy with tricks etc but I have noticed a big increase since the update when I try to grind any surfaces I bounce off them or ragdoll fling to neverland and same when doing flip tricks through a grind to continue a grind. I have swapped controllers thinking issue was on my side and makes no difference but I only noticed after heaps of hours and nearly 11k ripscore, when I’m completing my challenges I was previously having no issues at all but only since update when doing tricks I’m fighting controls/handling of the game correcting me elsewhere or it’s pulling me off path. I have checked all my settings/assists and it’s weird, sometimes I ragdoll thrown for no reason going into a grind.
I’m also now unable/having trouble to land body flips; backward or forward flips I just fall off and crumble ontop of my board like it hasn’t landed accurately when I know it would normally land as I was once flying through all these tricks no problem?
I can no longer push and get a speed up, I have turned pump assist off/on makes no difference, the push itself has become glitchy where the character slows itself down when going to commit the next push like they hesitate and only do a half small push. I have clicked the push button or held it down and either way my character will not accurately push and get speed like it used to. I have only rarely had a ragdoll body fling before the update and now it’s increased x10 for me. Especially when doing grinds/tricks through a grind and when landing flips.
As no new content has been released and all challenges are the same and repetitive even on the designated hourly swap rotation I get the exact same challenges around the map that I did just before. So that is why I’ve noticed the change since the update as I would do body flips and trick mixtures to entertain myself when doing easy reruns of challenges and now all of a sudden my game play is very glitchy even in general movement which isn’t a connection problem either.
I feel it is worth mentioning as I know a lot of people have complained in general about movement physics and tricks but I got the hang of the general rhythm of the games mechanics and I managed and dealt with it and rarely had any problem before now and the only thing that’s happened was an update?
(Off topic side rant) Why produce a specific designated/uncapped limit of Halloween coin currency that we can not realistically use/redeem even if we wanted to as there is nothing else to spend it towards? I bought all released Halloween coin series items and I still have heaps leftover. You haven’t refreshed anything in the shop other than what is bought with the flamingo currency. Even still most of the design options are questionable or bland and you rerelease most of it back in the store that was already shown so there is no nothing being added or new I’m sad about it. Where is the expression of art or design? Where is the colour or detail in any part of this game- other then the board wraps. I really want to see more colourful releases and designs of pics and banners and clothing/shoes, I want graffiti, I want to see the creators and editors imaginations and designs in things through the game and I feel disappointed how bland outfits and general city appearances
The only boxed item I was excited for was the skeleton top and pants. I loved the panda slippers you released and the cool bright green tights with pink detail just released yesterday, I loved those! But that’s honestly it. It’s somewhat childish and single minded designs in appearances it really just has me so confused this game in the general appearance of it because it is so much wasted potential sitting on a silver platter left out to go stale and dry
I would have loved for a job like that and to design such things for a game with such potential and yous are just making fun of such a position to produce such bland quality. I’m disappointed at the overall influence of inspiration towards passion and producing quality content — instead of what yous have done which is literally the bare minimum in every avenue of this game since yous have released the preview. I don’t get it?
I love this game and I’ve played it heaps I have so much hope in this games progression and development, I know it’s capable of happening I just hope yous care enough about it to do it.
Big build up leading to better things to come or big disappointment and this game is the breadcrumbs towards an uneventful backfire of a G’rated child’s release of a game that will plummet down the lists.
I am disappointed in ea when comparing to Sims or other releases and the graphic ideas and designs that could be done.
Food for thought, producers should go eat a snickers and sit back down at your colouring in books and replay with the drawing board.
11k rips has to be the most torturous boring grind of game xp repeating everyday the exact same challenges. It feels painfully slow to progress and I feel forcefully cut off like yous are breadcrumbing us tiny tiny pieces every so often.
I can’t believe I committed to the grind for the achievements and banners— some are great— but yous haven’t really committed to us? Is focus elsewhere? Doesn’t feel like yous are giving it your all. No care factor is what it feels like. Lol
