Skate. Improvement Suggestions
Skate (2025) – Early Access Improvement Proposal
From: A big Skate franchise fan
Date: October 2025
Purpose: Feedback & improvement suggestions for Skate (2025) Early Access
1️⃣ Core Gameplay / Physics
Issue: Some tricks, especially with the new “Spread Eagle” mechanic, feel less realistic and floaty. Landings feel too easy, reducing the sense of challenge and skill.
Proposal: Introduce a Classic Physics Mode option (similar to Skate 3) for players who prefer the original weight, friction, and trick realism.
Balance new mechanics so that advanced tricks are still satisfying but maintain realism and risk.
2️⃣ Game Modes
Issue: Key classic modes are missing, such as Hall of Meat, Game of SKATE, and offline solo play.
Proposal: Bring back Hall of Meat or an equivalent “Stunt Mode” for fun fall challenges.
Include Game of SKATE mode for competitive play.
Add Offline/Private Sessions so players can skate without griefers or unwanted interruptions.
Include Invite-Only or Private Lobby options for friends-only sessions.
3️⃣ Map & Environment
Issue: The current map feels small and lacks variety. Urban areas feel empty, limiting exploration and skating creativity.
Proposal: Expand the open world map with multiple distinct neighborhoods, skate spots, campuses, industrial zones, and city streets.
Introduce seasonal or rotational challenges and new spots with updates.
Improve environment aesthetics to better reflect urban, gritty skate culture.
4️⃣ Graphics & Style
Issue: Current graphics style is too “clean” or "cartoonish" and loses the roso / gritty aesthetic of Skate 1, 2 and 3.
Proposal: Enhance textures, shadows, and lighting for a more realistic, urban atmosphere.
Include customizable visual filters for players who want a classic Skate 2/3 look.
5️⃣ Customization
Issue: Character and skateboard customization is limited and not very authentic.
Proposal: Add more authentic brands: Santa Cruz, Zero, Plan B, Baker, Element, Almost.
Expand apparel options: Thrasher, HUF, Supreme, Palace.
Include shoes: Vans, Nike SB, Adidas Skateboarding.
Allow full customization of skateboard decks, wheels, and grip tape graphics.
Introduce branded DLC or free updates to gradually expand customization options.
6️⃣ Multiplayer & Community
Issue: Online sessions can be disrupted by griefers and trolls. Lack of private session options reduces enjoyment.
Proposal: Implement Private Lobbies and Invite-Only Sessions.
Optional Offline Mode for solo practice or filming clips.
Features to reduce griefing: toggle off unwanted players, block/ignore features, session moderation.
7️⃣ Replay / Creative Tools
Issue: Limited replay editor and filming options reduce creative freedom.
Proposal: Expand the Replay Editor with free camera angles, slow motion, and better clip capturing.
Add export/share options for clips directly to social platforms.
8️⃣ Live Service & Content Updates
Issue: Early Access feels incomplete; key content is locked behind future updates.
Proposal: Prioritize adding core features first: classic modes, private sessions, key brands.
Introduce seasonal expansions for map areas, tricks, and cosmetic options.
Communicate a clear roadmap with timelines so fans know when features are coming.
✅ Summary
This proposal aims to preserve the authentic Skate feel, bring back classic fan-favorite features, and improve the online and customization experience. Implementing these suggestions would satisfy longtime fans, give the new Skate players a good first impression, enhance replayability and strengthen community engagement.
Thank You for a new Skate game
