@895867597 I checked your account and can see that according to the Xbox Gamertag site you Xbox Membership is Silver.
In order to play online you will need to have Xbox Live.

I don't know what silver is. I have paid for gold and this is from my Microsoft subscriptions:

Nice palm off.
So now I have to go through Microsoft. Even though on my Xbox it shows I have gold Live? My account shows it is Gold?

@895867597 Not trying to palm you off, just offering you the best way to get to the bottom of this. The error asking you to get gold pops up now and again for some Xbox users and the quickest and easiest way to get it sorted is to contact Microsoft. They can look into your Xbox account and see if there are any issues.

i am pretty sure i am gold and i contacted microsoft and they weren't able to resolve my issue
- I had the same issue and contacted xbox support live chat service. They refreshed my xbox gold membership and it solved the problem.
- I can't connect either. It keeps taking me to the gold subscription.
I have paid up gold until next year.
I have checked privacy settings.
Checked Ea settings also.
Please help.
