Unable to retrieve server list

What anti-virus are you using?  If you are using AVG disable "link scanner surf-shield" before playing.

Having the same problem here, but my issue started at may 3rd after the update of patch 4.4

I tried the same as you reinstalling, re-updating it's f***ing ridiculous, then I start to search for aswers
and I find this, you could try too: (I hope that works for you)

- ensure that you have added swtor.exe and launcher.exe to the safe list/exceptions list of your antivirus/firewall/security software. If you have done this before, you can remove them and add the exceptions again.
-after the launch shows the option for play, before you run the game see if the option of repair is available and try to repair corruption files or maybe something that it's missing. (didnt happen with me, but every attempt count)

-you can try a cleam boot (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/331796)

Well thats a few options I find in my search for now, I'm trying everything right now just yet.
If I find something more I will reply this post.

Lets try this once more

WIth the game running , use speccy (Link) and save the info as a txt , and provide me a link to it in a PM , do not post it on here, worst case ask to email it to me.

If your issue started immediately after a patch then exceptions are the first thing to look at 

what antivirus and firewall do you use ? remove exceptions for both launcher.exe and swtor.exe and re-add them

ESET - disable protocol filtering

Kaperskey - disable scan secure connection

Nortons (Firewall) Set exceptions to specifically "Allow" as "Auto" can auto block

it takes several attempts to log n and get to my character screen but sometimes i spend hours trying

Ok so you are having issues with both the launcher as well as the game 

Login = Launcher.exe and Server List = Swtor.exe

Remind me again what Antivirus and firewall you are using

When there is logon issues with the launcher what is the latest launcher log (found in a log folder in the game folder) displaying ?

Disable any extensions in chrome as a test as well, the launcher itself uses the chromium framework (Link)

Well, I dont use any antivirus software like Norton, Eset or else. Just the firewall and antivirus (microsoft security essentials) standard program of win7

other program I use is the antispyware but it's not like a firewall or antivirus, it's just help me remove malwares when it's needed, I dont think the program prevents my swtor to work normally.
And I tried to remove and re-add firewall exception for both launcher and Swtor.exe
but yet I'm still unable to retrieve a server list :/
lately I was reading some opinions in the forum and I tried to add in my firewall exceptions rules the specific port numbers for swtor. http://help.ea.com/en/article/swtor-ports/
I dont knew if I create a new problem but since I did that, I getting troubleshouting in my launcher (haha) always get the message "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again."

Ensure the exceptions are ticked for both public and private networks for launcher.exe and swtor.exe 

I would remove any port rules, usually causes more trouble if not correct

as to unspecified error , see if the below has any affect on it.

With the launcher closed , try right mouse clicking on the taskbar and start task manager , end all bitraider processes.

Then right mouse click on the game shortcut, select open file location, delete the bitraider folder and start the launcher.

haha, nice done!

as you said, I removed the TCP port I've configured before (I was planning to remove that S**t after seem that not gonna resolve the server retrieve, haha)
and deleted the bitraider folder, the launcher verified the missing files and run normally resolving the troubleshouting, thanks

But yet I dont discover the server list problem
of course I checked again and ensure the exceptions are ticked for both public and private networks for  launcher and swtor.exe
but yet nothing is working to fix the retrieving.
