I'm trying to sub again after sometime but the account don't let me add my credit card, only ea gift cards are allowed. Last time I did pay for a gift card, but I just cant find it anymore. There's something I need to do to be able to use credit cards again?

you can try resetting the password on the linked ea account as detailed in this thread
otherwise best to call swtor support when the lines are open so they can take a closer look at your account for account issues

I did the reset password before and did send an email to support, but the asnwer was to try to link to steam and buy there, but I'm afraid of have the same problem other people had with link and stuff.
Maybe it's the force telling me to dont sub. :(
As long as you can see the steam linkage in your swtor account, steam purchase will work

I tried, after being instructed to buy through Steam, and in the end, I had the same problem as many others. The game doesn't recognize me as a subscriber. The link is correct, everything appears fine in the SWTOR account. The payment confirmation email is okay—everything seems correct—but the game doesn't recognize the subscription. So, no. Even though the link is working perfectly, the payment won't be added, and your account won't become a subscriber.
I then tried sending an email to support with the payment screenshots to see if they can resolve it there, but I must say, it's very frustrating that a game doesn't accept your money or lacks the proper tools to do so. How many others are facing the same issue? Are subscribers no longer necessary?

If the purchase occurs before linkage you need to email per this guide
no no, I did the link when created this post(11 days ago) and purchased today. It's not a problem with time to process data between steam and swtor. It's just dont work as had to.
