Сurrency of the Colosseum (MK V Cresh Ability Module)
I opened the KX security droid yesterday, and as it turns out, I can't upgrade it above level 52 (the rest of the characters, including Cassian, are level 57 or higher) because there's not enough material to upgrade "MK V Cresh Ability Module". It doesn't drop from level 6 bosses anymore, and I've closed level 5.
And you can get this currency only by buying packs for crystals. Do these developers not know how to count or provoke the purchase of crystals?
One has been caused by a bug in the update, changing the materials required for each Era Level. That looks like something CG will try to fix.
The other is the same as it was with Spider Maul. 4 star unlocks have less of one material than needed for all era units plus the legendary. 5 star unlocks have plenty and those who don’t unlock also have plenty.
Anyone who is short of materials outwith these 2 issues hasn’t collected all the coliseum rewards from t1-7.
I've not spent a crystal on Eras yet. I even had a month off during the first one! And I've reached level 65 for every character. I'm not sure why some of you are having these issues.
I must admit, I did think I'd run out of mats between 55-60 and 60-65, but it ended up not being the case.
there are not enough mats even if you do not use any on cassian. i am f2p and did not get more than 3* on anyone, so cassian was not a possibility, and yet i was surprised to find that i could not max all of them at lvl65 (=gear12). i'm just short 1 level on 1 character, so it's not the greatest tragedy of all times, but i was under the impression that f2players could max everyone at 65. i could last time around.
i maxed the episode track and i am at stage7 in all fights, so getting these mats without spending is no longer possible possible.
ps: the coliseum fight is buggy as well after the patch. i assume that killing one of the dryax and almost killing the other is more than 27% damage? both offense and defense of the boss seem way off. i could never get close to killing one in stage7 before the patch. there's also a loop at the end if the droid is the last man standing, since he cannot die at that point (cause of weirdly low damage from the boss), but since he only does 1 or 2 damage himself with each hit i didn't want to wait for a few hours to check if the stage could be beaten that way. it probably could, so... very buggy.
DarjeloSalas is exactly correct. Legendary at 4 starsgives you some additional salvage but not enough to get over that one particular hurdle. Getting the legendary to 5* rewards more salvage that gets you over that hurdle.
Unfortunately for most people (including me the first time round), you take your legendary up past the point where they use this rare salvage before other toons come out, so you're not even aware that there's a bottleneck and don't get to make your own, educated choices about how to navigate it.
The good AND bad news is that the next era will use a new system, and legendary gear rewards may create totally new and different problems. So we can't plan for next era based on what we've learned in this one, but we can always hope that next era won't create this kind of stupid hurdle. That wouldn't be naive, would it?
