The things that affect the ship's contribution in stats are: Ship level, period. Nothing else will change how many stats a ship just has from itself.

The contributions from the pilot are determined by Crew rating, which is determined by: Ship stars, Pilot stars, Pilot level, Pilot ability level, Mod tier, and mod level.

Since there are 6 mods, I could see the upgrade to tier 6 giving out somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 ship gp for each mod (though this is entirely a guess). Poe gets 1 speed for every 2 of his G12 pieces which give about 200 gp. Mods could give a ship up to 4 speed if it is one of the faster ones. Poe gets 1 speed for each of his g12+ pieces from the Sith raid. If it's a smaller amount of GP for that mod upgrade then it will give less speed. On one of the slower ships, it will definitely give less speed.

That is important thing to know.

Sun Fac ship (single crew/55 speed from crew) speed crew_stat_contribution 0.00310449

Bistan uwing (double crew/56 speed from crew) speed crew_stat_contribution 0.00160538

Cassian uwing (triple crew/54 speed from crew) speed crew_stat_contribution 0.00099127

As you can see with 2 ships closely matched in speed the one with 3 crew has crew_stat_contribution about 1/3 of a ship with single crew, and one with 2 crew is about half of of one with single crew.

So adding 6E mods to all those crew members should give about the same speed boost to each.

As to why some ships have over inflated combined power is because some crew contribute useless stats to the ship.
Example DV contribute special damage to his ship even though his ship only dies physical damage.

Ships suck so there’s no need to worry.

Ships are my favorite part of the game. I just use crouching Rancor to compute this stuff but it’s all going to change now. I believe Cassian’s ship has the highest power once maxed out... but obviously is not the strongest ship... ship power is kind of a useless stat. Ships must pretty much be 7* to be viable. Who know how much mods will impact a superior 5• crew vs a normally weaker 6• crew. My guess is minimally.

Yeah I'm just worried slicing mats will be that hard to come by that farming 6 dot mods will be like farming zetas and that they will have a huge impact on fleets. Obviously they will have a massive impact in arena. Those stats boosts are huge. Gotta stock pile golds now since they will be the easiest push to 6 dot mods.

Don't worry, the AI will be sure to use the maxed out capabilities of the ships against you, just like with the current 5-dot mod pilots. The AI will also gain extra anything it wants.

If players "advertise" a super-powered uber team that can't be beaten, to which they can use to defeat anything and everything in game, don't worry, it'll get nerfed. :P Just the same as when someone shows how their 6-dot mod team solo's the Sith Raid. It'll get nerfed.

I'm interested to see if this kills my interest in the game. Given how much I despise mods already it's highly likely, especially seeing as I've got zilch for the last 2 days of farming.

Oh and they better introduce another source of credits too.

Mod management was requested, we got, a load of stuff nobody asked for along with mod management. Gotta harvest those whales I guess.

Well mods are going to be on their own energy now

it never has until now so i dont see why they would make that change
yes 6 dot will be better than 5 dot that will be better than 4dot etc
then again until they are released its all guessing as proved before they can change anything at anytime
