I have a couple of decent relic squads and I use them as much as I use SLKR in hard Conquest.
Han Solo is my most useful character this season.
But really it's a difficult game mode and you have to be prepared to throw everything at it; having to beef up your Legend even more is just part of the fun.
They might put in Conquest omicrons at some point so be prepared for an even tighter squeeze.
