So during Episodes 4-6 what was Ashoka doing and now during the Ashoka show what is Luke doing? Seems funny how Luke isn’t helping find Ezra and stopping Thrawn’s return or the two turned Jedi or the Inquisitor or the Nightsister.
in episode #1, when hera told ashoka there's someone who could help her, i 100% expected that to mean luke and that we'd get some kind of excuse why he would not get involved when 2 jedi show up. alas, they could not even be bothered with that. :(

Come on guys!dont try to over-analyze everything, just enjoy the show!
here's the thing: while there are some people who try to find fault in everthing and enjoy complaining, most people are not like that. but sometimes, problems are just hard (or even impossible) to ignore. most of the time, we are absorbed with watching something we enjoy, so we don't notice any small flaws. but sometimes they just jump out at you. i would love to enjoy this show. i liked the trailers and was really looking forward to it. rebels is some of my favorite star wars stuff ever. but this is just bad. at least, for me.
if you enjoy it, amazing! i'm happy for you. but i'd prefer being happy for me as well. ;)
on the quite obvious retcon on force use: i get where they are coming form politically and i think you could make a good argument for this change. the force being literally a race (or species) thing, being a measurable quantity and hereditary has a bad ring of "übermenschentum" to it. which is bad, in case you are wondering.
the problem with a change on this issue: it's not just a retcon. it changes how the whole universe works (and always has worked). if the force was just "hard work", the universe would be completely different. i am not certain they thought this through.
