1. Why did Ahsoka and Sabine split?
isn't the question that needs to be answered first, why they were even paired together in the first place? why make sabine into a padawan? it makes no sense at all from what was shown before. do ashoka and sabine even have a single meaningful conversation before this series? or any at all? i cannot recall any. not even at that terribly lazy setup at the end of rebels. i don't even want to get into all the little problematic details (of which there are way too many!), for me this show fails before it even started. the premise is deeply flawed, feels forced because of it and that's why i can't buy any of the relationship/tension between the 2 main characters. - shlominus2 years agoRising Rookie

the former inquisitor was a nightsister zombie, i assume? if true, no casual viewer will understand what happened. if not, i have no idea what happened.
I am thinking he was a dathmorian like Maul or Savage... If you watched the Clone Wars, the green mist is very similar to what came from Savage Opress when Sidious killed him...
ahhh, nice! i didn't know that. seems reasonable. - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned AceAny ideas about Anakin? It was weird that Anakin had Vader's lightsaber plus Vader's music being played. She dead? Dreaming? In between worlds?

The show is finally starting to get moving but it's taken too long to get here and there aren't enough episodes left to actually accomplish anything. This should have been episode 2 and everything else reworked IMO.
In any case here comes a rant about my frustration with this show because they have some serious heavy lifting to do in 4 episodes. Let's start with teh simple basic premise of the show:
1. Why did Ahsoka and Sabine split? Why should they get back together? They're trying really hard to tell us Sabine is Mandalorian and very different from Ahsoka. So explain their motivations as characters beyond they want the same thing. If wanting the same thing is all it takes really stop and ask - why is there conflict at all? The "bad guys" want to get to the exact same place as the good guys. Why don't they work together? What has Morgan/Balen/Thrawn/Jin done at this point to show they're bad guys? They tried to recover something from Sabine that was stolen from them therefore they're bad guys? What else? EXPLAIN anybody's motivation.
2. What's the motivation for Balen/Jin? Why are they doing this and what do they gain?
3. What does the Nightsister get from Thrawn? I'm still not convinced they even know each other at this point.
4. What is Thrawns plan and why should we be scared of him like Ahsoka says in EP4 (remember not everyone has seen Rebels and Thrawn is just a name to most viewers)? I'm really worried about a "somehow Thrawn has returned and with 1000 super star destroyers and 1 billion troops" line.
5. What is the purpose of the new galaxy and who lives there? How do those who live in the new galaxy impact ours? Why should we care about them/it?
I'm now fairly confident that Thrawn/Ezra will be getting the Jedi Master Luke treatment from episode 7; 60 seconds of screen time to close the season out. Even if thats the case the above 5 questions really need to be answered to move any of these characters forward from where the show started. As much as I love SW you could watch all content produced up to Ahsoka, skip these first 4 episodes, and the characters/world are in the exact same place.
We dont need all of those answers but they need to start developing teh plot or the characters - at this point I'd be happy with either one.
I mean the series hasn't ended and they still have a few more episodes to answer some of those questions
Also I think you haven't been paying attention or watching the show and listening to what's going on if you are asking information on stuff that have been answered in point 1 - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned Ace

The pathways and such look exactly like the world between worlds we saw in Rebels.....
Yes, so how did he get out of one of the "portals" Why does he have Vader's lightsaber and why was Vader's music playing? The world between worlds just shows moments of time. - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned Ace

1) Star Wars loves the story of padawans who didn't finish their training, Luke, Ashoka, Ben Solo, Sabine, Grogu, Rey, Leia, Cal Kestis, etc. Second part of your paragraph, bad guys in Star Wars are always just seen as bad without having any real reason to be so.
2) Baylan wants to burn it all down and start over. He sees Thrawn as the one do bring it about.
3) Wait and see?
4)Thrawn will continue to carry out the Empires plan.
5)Wait and see?
This show isn't very deep and the answers you are looking for are in the show itself. - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned Ace

Wait they don’t need motivation to be bad, they just have red lightsabers so they are automatically bad.
Dark orange, they didnt fully bleed their lightsaber to red. - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned Ace

We can all guess at the motivations of these characters but it's the show writer's responsibility to tell a complete story. It's literally the textbook definition of what drives a character's actions in a story (a well-written one anyway). A person stealing a piece of bread is not a compelling or complete story. Why did they steal it? Are they hungry? Do they have a child to feed? Why can't they just pay for it? Those are the motivations of a character and they help tell a complete story and so far this show has no motivation beyond the bad guys want to find Thrawn. How does that benefit Elsbeth? What does Balen gain? Why does Ahsoka care to stop Thrawn? So far these characters are all acting simply because they're made to with no motivation or reason at all.
Ill leave it alone after this post and move on.
Baylan explained why he wanted Thrawn back, Elsbeth has yet to tell her intentions. Maybe she doesn't want Thrawn back but thinks there are Nightsisters there? - LordDirt2 years agoSeasoned Ace

Man.... I would love to see what a series written by all of the critics and know-it-alls here would look like..... I bet it would be the biggest shipwreck since the Titanic..... lol
Give me the chance to make Solo 2 and then either a series or three movies to tie in the Kylo Ren origin story and I could make it pretty good.
