Cannot Invite Allies who are a member of another Guild...
I had been playing with a Guild for over a year and the crew is fantastic, however we had a "Leader" who fell away from the game and became inactive for a considerable length of time. We, as a guild, discussed this in our forum and decided that I would leave and start a new Guild and that those who were interested in moving over would send me and ally request and I would then send invites to everyone on my ally list to join the new Guild.
All seemed to go as planned until I started the new Guild and discovered that it is now not possible to send a Guild Invite to an Ally who is a member of another Guild. I contacted the Help Desk and was told that there was no way for me to contact my former Guild Members and inform them that they need to leave the old Guild before I can invite them to the new one. They did however inform me that if a "Leader" is inactive then it was possible to transfer leadership to an "Officer" (which I formerly was), information that would have been helpful yesterday.
Please give me any feedback on how to proceed. Luckily a good third of my former Guild has taken initiative and left the old Guild and joined the new one however they have expressed that there is mass confusion in the old guild's forum as to why the invites have not yet been sent.
This seems to have been an undisclosed aspect of a recent update, as I recall only a week or so ago having to go through the "pending invites" on the Guild page and delete all invites who were members of other guilds.
