I'm really hoping that someone can solve this... The chat function and some other buttons have disappeared from the game for me. I have been playing on the same account for years and never had this problem. I have seen some older responses online where EA have said this happens to child accounts. I am 43 years old and can categorically say I did not enter the wrong date of birth!
This happened to me yesterday. Same circumstances. I’m in my twenties.
I spent hours last night talking to “help” which was a massive waste of time.
currently no fix and they have reported the bug up the line
Chat box disappears for me basically daily and it resolves with a reboot of my phone. For me, chat always works until I log into the game store to collect the daily freebies. If I'm already logged into the game and visit the store it happens then and only then for me. Not saying that's your issue but if you haven't rebooted your phone give that a try.
Has happened to me all the time for years. Quit game, restart brings it back 99% of the time. The other 1%, restart a couple times and it returns.
Should that happen? No, but don't expect a fix.
This has been the case in the past, but restarts are not working this time. Can’t see the guild banner either, or place orders on zones in TW/TB. Something’s up.
