Yeah; I know record is the primary decider. You are correct; I was looking to see when records are the same, how the matchups are created.
For example, in this current GAC bracket (I'm again, the smallest account). Round 1, I got matched against the 3rd largest account (which I won). 2nd round, I got matched against the 2nd largest account (and lost). Final round, I'm matched against the largest account in the bracket.
And match-ups like this seem to happen nearly every single time. So I'm just curious how these match-ups are determined, since in all 3 battles, there were more than 2 people with those records, so I would just like to know what the deciding factors are.
I don't think the match-ups each round has anything to do with the GP. You get a random match-up with the people, who are in a similar win/loss situation like you.
- First round: anyone random from the 7.
- Second round: anyone random from the 3 (with the same either win/loss from first round)
- Third round: anyone random from the 2 (with the same either win/loss from the first and second round). of course if you have won both previous rounds (lost), there is no randomness anymore.
