Scrybe chimes in, with essentially the same analysis that I have: it's not fun and it CANNOT be fun if we don't know what we're doing, don't know where we're going, don't know how to get there, and have no idea if we're doing well or poorly.
On top of that, they're asking us to pay for gear that we already have stocked up. Because we can't use our gear stockpiles for our era characters, so the hard work we put in means nothing.
While they say we're effectively getting gear for free, we aren't if we're forced to spend crystals for era levels. While whales & krakens will get good r10 mats out of this (or at least relatively good amounts compared to any non-whales they have to face), and while brand new players don't have stockpiled gear and might spend fewer crystals on era levels than they would on Kyros, for everyone else the "rewards" are actually a penalty.
