You don't have to 'buy' her shards. Most of my guild, even F2P, use crystals on the gamba packs to get the new marquees to at least 4, since that gets you bonus and daily shards of them for as little as 2600c. It works out to being better than farming them from shipments, and you can finish some additional quests with them at 4* (and most of the way to 5* by the end of the event).

The packs hardly yield enough chance for higher shard chances even Raid has better ods for pulling something you might want on the first go which is saying something. Really new marquee being involved in GC is just trash. have quests that are 100% extra as a reward to those players is fine. but tbh the new episode system is trash you have to buy the pass to get value from the track now before if you had the teams needed you could get your  2 omi with remodding and a few trial and error now you have to whale crystals earned or money on a new marquee is a terrible design. It really is a shame that people in this game Whale on this stuff instead of refusing to and trying to force a change for the better... absolutely worst community to get anything to change for the better of the players. took them what 8 years to change the new player experience and that was probably more so players get higher faster to make more money off of them
