Cuffs

It's all luck, gear can't be earned unless you use crystals which are slow to obtain without paying for them. I agree the lack of consistency kills enjoyment and the progression makes this one rpg I used to play look about a decade faster, luckily it is a game about Star Wars and there is barely any effort needed. Edit: Actually the Pheonix flash event makes this untrue, but that only happened once

It's all rng. No way it's 1/3 chance on 8c. Been farming cuffs there for a long time and never have got 1/3. So it doesn't even out as someone suggested earlier.

It was stated by a dev awhile back in one of the many drop rate threads that RNG applies to each individual attempt and not to the whole attempt so it doesn't matter if you run 2 or 12 attempts, RNG is applied to each individual attempt regardless.

But it seems that 8C DS and 7C lS are worse rate than 8G LS and I think this is because the other 2 gears are blue and green, when in 8G LS is green and grey, I have checked that when is blue and grey the rate works better than when is blue and green, maybe like 1/3 or 2/5 when in the other 2 is like 1/4.

Key word there is "seems." As far as I am aware, the drop rates are the same across the board, defined by piece and not node. Anything short of a sampling with dozens of players of several weeks is just anecdotal evidence, and can be discarded.

This. The only advantage you get from smaller pulls is that it lowers your frustration when you get zero drops. 0/3 is a lot easier to swallow than 0/20. The drop rates are going to be the same regardless.

Now, debating if the drop rates are too low in general is for another discussion. But RNG is RNG regardless if it's positive or negative.

It does always even out, but not to 1/3. 1/5 is pretty close.

This is correct. Those that have tracked drop rates have found purple gear to be 20%. It's hero shards that are 33%. It is also correct that the drop rate is the same whether you do 3 pulls or 20.
