Currency exchange

Clearly, this is a game about efficient allocation of game resources and use of some real-life resources in some instances ($ and time).

What about a currency exchange with an "exchange rate" penalty to provide added strategy on leveling and roster dev?

Some of this is built in (for example, cantina store credits for ship credits), but there could be more for a deeper use of game resources that have already been developed.


So, we've established precedent (with the cantina currency exchange) and usefulness, which means it may not be that hard to write into an update and it may help with player retention.

  • I also know that it's been said that equipment would never be allowed to be sold again because too many people complained about accidental sales.

    What about exchanged equipment under similar conversions as the proposed currency exchange? If done in a store, then it is unlikely to be done by accident.
  • I think it was less an accident and more of a decision that people regretted later and then complained about. Like people had 500 carbantis and thought it was fine to sell some not realizing that next week they would try to gear somebody that required 500 alone.
