This is actually ridiculous, I've been trying to contact customer support for so long and so far I've only gotten one reply asking for an ally code and saying they'll "look into". I seriously wonder if they literally have only one underpaid outsourced customer support worker, if even that. Really shows how little these people value their player base...
Though it may seem that is a lack of support agents it is actually ea support and although the efficiency is poor they definitely have a massive staff, however they are support for hundreds of games, a little patience goes a long ways.

That's because EA is running help tickets now. They have zero motivation to fix your issues because it's EA.
Support is completely useless. I’m 100% sure their goal is to frustrate you into giving up. Not a joke. You are much better off asking for help here on the boards, there’s a better chance someone here can help you. That sounds like sarcasm but it’s my honest opinion.
They have the same support staff for all their games?
I agree 100% with what you're saying. Been having the same error trying to buy slice a bundles for over 4 months. Contact ingame help has made it so that i'm more confused now then before i started asking for help. I've also been on this technical area of this forum:

Seems really hit and miss. I definitely found this to be 100% the case on one particular issue. I found on another issue they sorted it without any issues.
I do dread having to go to them, I really do. Seeing all these cases of issues with purchases..............is crazy. How can this still be going on, it'll kill the game if they don't sort it soon.
