Yes you can, it depends on the accuracy and the relevance of your data. Going door to door to talk to people about how they feel about a subject is just another way to collect data.
I agree at some point but data without context is just numbers, the way CG collected data is shady, they didn't reveal their source, we don't know where it come from, if you are using data as proof, then reveal them or nobody will trust you.
The whole post was shady. Data-free assertions that are not supported by any tangible evidence. Meathead asserted that Datacrons are "fun" - based on what?
That description would apply to at least half the posts on the forum.
Perhaps Meathead does find datacrons fun."PumaK;c-2379067" wrote:

Based on what They wrote When introduced it. I never saw a single user using those same words to define it.
They claim to use the feedback but that Never happened, because since the leak the feedback remains almost the same.

I still firmly believe that Galactic Legends should not get any special bonuses from datacrons, and that those should be reserved only for characters that could actually use the boost.
Lets say they made it for characters that need the boost only. Then the participation on dcs would drop even further, because nobody is getting those toons to r7 for a four month bonus. Characters that need them are not in the range of Darth Vader or Revans or GAS, they are like CUP or Gamorrean Guard or any C-Tier requirement
Im sure GLs will disappear once all of them had one at a time, but going that low?
I personally disagree, plenty of people aren't taking Acolyte, Wedge etc to R7 for a temporary bonus currently anyway but overall participation will be higher because it would encourage more players to take more characters to R3-R5. Giving GL's bonuses doesn't make any sense, they're already strong enough as it is."StAugJames;c-2379103" wrote:

Keep telling yourself that. You are in a very tiny minority.
You have no idea how the majority of hundreds of thousands of players feel about datacrons. You just know how you,.the people around you and the small minority who post on the forums feel and you assume that is representative of the whole."JackedJedi;c-2379099" wrote:

He has a wider point though on the games current spread.
People put resources into GLs. Their high relics are based around GL farms.
Although I agree GL boosts are bad at least your not forced into putting those resources into other teams. The GL crons are plug in and play.
For example, I’d quite like to farm a DC for MT. I have NS’s around relic 3 currently. So to make the DC viable I need to push out 4 toons to r5 and 1 to r7 for a 2 month boost. Instead of making progress on profundity or a GL. For most it’s a stupid choice.
So imo they need to take away GL use AND lower requirements for use otherwise it won’t be worth it if they are going to include factions that are not requirements elsewhere."JackedJedi;c-2379099" wrote:

Does it tho? I dont see the difference in getting your team to relic 3-5 based on the relic 7 power up for a certain character. If you dont want to get the last upgrade anyway it doesnt matter what character is up there.
And given the time you farm to get a full team (if you dont have them already that is), you will probably miss 2 or 3 out of 4 months.
I think its most encouraging to scrap GLs after all had one and then give them to A-Tier teams that are spread through the community, but not to their carrying characters (lets say Darth Revans team, but give it to HK for example)- HKFactory3 years agoSeasoned Rookie

Alright, let me be more specific. I would like if the special bonuses only apply to quite literally anything apart from galactic legends, because as I said, I strongly feel that they do not need any bonuses in the slightest, given how much they are pushed as being “the very top tier of power.” - DarmanSkirata703 years agoNew Spectator

I can only speak for myself, but I am on several Discord servers that cumulatively contain thousands of players. It would be beyond a stretch to say that the consensus on Datacrons is that people think they are "fun". This isn't me doing a survey of my own guild, its my ability to read and understand what others are posting in the forums, discord servers and reddit.
If CG are going to seriously suggest the questions they just answered were the ones that the player base really asked and wanted answered, then they can expect the ridicule that they get in response.
Where is all the positivity on Datacrons, please point us at it...
Also, for many, many players who don't have their rosters at the appropriate relic levels to be able to use or face datacrons, they are a none issue. For end game players, in my opinion, they are OP, should not apply to GL's and frankly have wrecked whatever "fun" there was in GAC.

If you wish to shake the meta (which apparently is the point, gameplay-wise), applying dtc to gls seems almost mandatory. However, there were far too much gl dtc during exhibition imo (rey jml jmk see). 1 per set, so 2 at a time at most, seems much more manageable. "Darman_Skirata;c-2379124" wrote:

I mean, to be fair, "they suck and we want them gone" is not a question and if it was, what was your answer if they are not meant to be scrapped?
