Defense & Offense mods
Mods with both defense & offense do become availalable; can you think of any characters to whom these are best suited?

Generally, no. If he's under JKR (or Bastila), you don't want to be sacrificing any offense for defense. He gets sustainability from JKR (or Bastila lead) and Jolee. If you're using him with DR as a Tenacity Up button you only need (usually, a lot of) speed on him.
I would disagree with Baby_Yoda's glass cannon comment. You normally want to accentuate strengths with mods, not try to shore up weaknesses (some exceptions of course - Traya springs to mind). Bruiser tanks are more where you want this sort of thing (as plindboe said).

I just opted to put some protection primaries on Cody & Clone Sarge. I was finding them too squishy. Though, this is definitely not modding to their strengths. We'll see.
The "too squishy" list is a long one...
