I actually did look at your last 30 matches. While you did have a higher proportion of matches vs higher gp (22 vs 8) you actually had a winning record vs the bigger accounts (12-10) compared to the smaller accounts (3-5) and your overall winning percentage is close to 50%. So the system seems to be working reasonably well. You also had 3 matches were you didnt do any battles. And a lot of ones where you only did 1 battle. Not sure CG would change anything if people aren't going to try.
What you did not mention/see is that about a year ago I was in Aurodium 4 with only 4 mil GP. So actually higher investment in my roster has brought me down to Chromium 2. People are facing these accounts I am facing (as far as GP is concerned) in higher tiers of Grand Arena. As far as the solo battles life happens/there was no point in trying to beat an account with 8 or 9 GLs. And yes of course I do worse against people with less GP. Those people compensate for their lack of roster by skill similar to what I do. Whereas the others have worse skill, but better rosters. People are not willing to try because they see no progress. I have gained 4 mil since Aurodium 4 and not managed to get back up. During my run there, yes I was beating 7 mil accounts at 4 mil. And yet I don’t face those now when I am at 8 mil? Makes zero sense and disincentives newer players to play/invest in Grand Arena. And this is not a unique perspective at all. Look at several YouTubers who have recently started new accounts. They will be telling you similar or the same things.
I'm not sure how you ended up in Aurodium with 4mil gp unless you were one of those accounts that gets randomly teleported really high. As I've said in other replies on this thread, people really need to have a reality check on the strength of their roster and what division they're in. You think the matchmaking is hurting you, id say why do you think you deserve to be in Aurodium (the 2nd highest league right below kyber) at 4 mil gp? You dont have the roster depth mods omis or dcs for that, and even if you're a good in battle player theres so many teams you dont have experience with/against. Honestly it sounds like maybe you went on an epic winning streak, and the theres been a long correction to get you back to where you should be. If CG magically seeded all accounts by go you might have more fun matchups but ultimately would probably be around the same league.
I'm not sure why you think you should have a worse win rate vs lower gp accounts because of "skill" when you posted at least 2 zeros. And that everyone with a larger roster is "worse" at the game. I get life happens but if you have the time you should be trying to win regardless of their gp. Because of lot of them might post a zero or 1 battle and you can steal a win. And you do better against them anyways! Otherwise just seems like entitlement and excuse making.
I don't disagree there are struggles but there are several youtubers that have made ftp alts and moved up despite the occasional setback. Somehow ahnald was able to get his to low kyber within a couple years despite mismatches and honestly forgetting to play that account a lot.
The point was that I WAS in Aurodium at 4 mil GP facing 7 mil accounts. Now those accounts don’t seem to pop up as much at 8 mil. And it really sounds like you are higher up and don’t really care about the issue. I can’t really do anything against 5 GLs on defense with my current account. As for AHnald, he made that account way before the Kyber squish, so he was able to progress further before getting pushed back. (Don’t forget it took him over a year to get back to Kyber after that). His account is 4 years old. If you watch Songeta’s or Nooch’s FTP you will see exactly what I am saying. And yes I do feel entitled to rank up in Grand Arena if I have invested 4 mil more than a year previously only to face opponents that still have higher GP and more GLs.
Yes I know you were in Aurodium 4. What im saying is you shouldnt have been, thats why too high for that gp. So if you were way too high its kind of facetious to complain about facing higher gp accounts as you slide down to where you should be slotted. And yes I am in k1 and face bigger accounts with tons of more dcs than me almost every time.
The kyber squish happens every season so thats not an excuse. I'm been squished out of k1 into k2 before. And even if it took him a year to get back to k3 he's now in kyber with less gp than you despite facing probably the same amount of bigger accounts (or more probably). Nooch is not a good player so I dont think whether he's ftp or not matters. Songeta i never watch but if they're so good they should be moving up. And his ftp has like 5 mil gp. Why do you feel entitled just because you added 4 mil gp in a year? You seem to assume no one else in the game also improved their roster in that time period. Especially when it looks like that was due to lsbs which a lot of people also bought. I only looked at your gl mods but they need a lot more speed, that could be why you lose as well. It might also be worthwhile to invest a little but more in dcs. Similarly doesn't look like you do a lot of conquest only one of saw was malgus. Youre missing out on a lot of good lifters there.
Just not sure where you think you deserve to be after buying a bunch of lsbs and having a big jump in gp but now missing a lot of zetas and not having the mod depth for all the new characters. You were too high in aurodium and maybe a touch too low now but basically it seems to be evening out.
