Do Meta Teams REALLY Matter?

As I'm sure most of us know, there's usually one or two team comps that completely dominate in practically all game modes. Right now, it's Rebels and Empire. But the question is, is it even worth it? ...

META teams are good to improve your dream team since you will be able to have for currencies everywhere (GW, Raids and Arena), so you could improve your dream team faster. I'm not a real fan of rebels, but I developed them to get EP. I do not use Wiggs anymore in arena but still, are useful in Raid and GW.

I'm now using Lando (L), STHan, GS, EP and QGJ in arena and have fun even if I'm 60-80 everyday. But I had to develop rebels to reach faster my goals.
