With the influx of new characters (primarily in response to Rogue One) who are possible to unlock, but impractical to 7*, it would be nice to drop the * requirements for toons who can be used in raids. These are cool new toons and many are plenty powerful long before 7*...give us a place to use them.(below, crzydroid suggests changing * requirements to gear requirements. Also a good thought!)

I just had this same thought. I would love the possibility to use my 3* Chirrut, or brand-spanking-new 6* Jyn Erso in a heroic raid. Now that we have gear and mods, that should make up for stars. The raid requirement should be a gear level, not a star level. Again, only because the new toons are being made obtainable but not starable.

It should be required that you have 1 character of the star rating requirements to qualify.

Agreed. If I could use 4* toons for any raid, I wouldn't bother to go past 5* for some toons as I only need them for utility rather than damage.

Make it a squad average requirement.

5 toons with a total of 33 stars, for example. Let's you sneak in a 5* or two 6*s in one squad.

Gear level is a nice idea! It allows the use of any toon and still provides a build barrier (but one which any player might reasonably achieve...whereas shards are not reasonably available for many toons).
