Executor requirements - Journey guide misled me

According to the journey guide, I met all the prerequisites for executor. I moved on to farming for something else while I waited for the event to open. I opened the event today and did the first four battles. On the fifth battle, I could not enter it because my Tie Bomber is 6*. If I can't do the event, the journey guide should have let me know. Had I known, I would have prepared that Tie Bomber by buying refreshes daily instead of just getting 5 battles a day. It's quite misleading for the JG to tell a player they have met the prerequisites, when they really have not, and have no way of doing so in 24 hours, so they have to wait another month.

Thanks crzydroid. I've been getting by with Negotiator vs 4-5-6* Executor. As of today there are many more 7* and they aren't easy to beat. I'll check out the Malevolence lineup. The events you mention were prior to the JG for me, so laid out very differently. It's just 30 days of less Fleet rewards than #1. I'll get by - just really disappointed and wish it were clearer.

Yeah, the old JG also had a separate tab with prerequisites from the event tab which had requirements. And I may be mistaken, but I think prerequisites was not the default view. So it was easier to catch. It's not as intuitive to look ahead on the events track.

You may still be able to take #1 if your Malevolence and droid ships are good enough and your TIE fighter can go first. You will also need Ebon Hawk. Being on your fleet shard chat will obviously also help.

I have a different view. For all legendary events, I have a list of different requirements. if I have fulfilled this I can play the event.

For example, I need a 5 star Finalizer for SLKR, and that's it. I don't need a 7 * in the last phase.

    Same for Rey. I need a 5* Raddus , that’s all.

I have no problem with the requirements. but so they are useless and misleading.

SLKR and Rey are Galactic Legends
Legendary events are listed in a similar unless way as executor, each stage showing it's requirements.
It is the make players frustrated so they will just spend marketing strategy.

I guess it's a bit misleading....but there is this, right?

Yes, there is that. I said the Journey Guide misled me, not that the SWGOH forums on EAs site misled me.

I'm complaining, yes, but it's also valid feedback for the developers that the game UI could be more clear about event requirements particularly pertaining to events which aren't permanently open.

Perhaps the event buttons across the top row in the journey guide could have a red X on them if you don't meet the requirements.

    Completely agree with all that.

Hate to say but every event has had star requirements to enter with each tier of the event requiring higher levels. All the journey guide is indicating is the entry level requirements to begin the event and with that you can do the first tier.

I do agree that there should be an indication of what you can attempt based on your roster to make it easier and know what you need to work on further.

Word of advice is once you start a farm finish it to the end. Will pay off in the long run
  • The reality is that the requirements to just enter the event are meaningless. You get nothing out of merely entering the event and doing the first tier.
