Fix JKR/GAS/Thrawn counter Against GL Rey

Fair point but the fact remains that SLKR can only be countered by SLKR or Rey. The same can’t be said for Rey.

So in order to be fair to all Rey users like myself, SOMETHING should change to where Rey can only be beaten by another Rey or SLKR.

I dont have Rey, do her counters work even with her ultimate?

Yes - in fact, you can beat a full R7 Rey squad with an R7 GAS, an R4 GMY, and any three of the following: G11 GBA, G12 JKR, G12 Bastilla, and G12 Thrawn.

Yes, because Rey's ultimate spreads 400k damage, you use GBA in the counter and have 6 characters. That means each character is taking about 75k damage. But generally you keep rey fractures so she never gets the chance to go ultimate. Ability block and fracture neuters rey.

Good luck trying to fracture kylo. I've tried multiple counter teams and unless you can spend time God modding specifically for the exact player you're trying to counter, you wont get to him. They often run double tanks and you cant dispel that taunt because it will dispel their advantage which kylo will auto-refresh which restores their taunt. Wait, maybe you mark kylo with JKR so you can target him with fracture... but wait hes immune to taunt effects.

There is just SO MUCH more in kylos kit that makes him difficult to counter, not even counting his insane stacking damage. Even using GL Rey with ult I'm only 50% or less countering this newly buffed kylo so far

One of the keys to making the Thrawn counter work against Rey was ensuring he was fast enough to go before Rey’s second turn and to get JKR to Mark Rey so Thrawn could dodge taunt. This might have been manageable against the old-SLKR given that he has 28 more base speed than Rey and that Rey’s leadership gave her +30 speed.

Now that SLKR ALSO has +30 speed in his kit, it’s nearly impossible.

And in case you don't want to go to reddit for whatever reason, that's a video showing Padme 5s Echo GAS CUP easily beating SLK because the AI is hard-coded to focus on 5s.

that is amazing lol, does it work with a generic non-tank Galactic Republic? I would assume so but have literally never read CUP's kit.

It works because of how the SLK AI handles 5s, so you'd probably want a damage dealer instead of a tank. Though a secondary tank could take the hits from any non-FO if you needed it. I used GLRey because I have her and it was hilarious.
