Fleet PVP is underwhelming

So I'm top 50 and my brother is top 200. Are you telling that I'm so much more awesome than him that I get *roll drums* an extra ship shard per day on average!? Underwhelming indeed. Also, could ...

Exactly, and that's because the reward to get better than top 200 isn't there. Why put in the effort?

If the rewards were better/more worth it, roughly the same amount of players would recieve top50 rewards. It's more of a "dont screw over the lower ranks" than a "not rewarding the top ranks".
Top ranks are quite rewarding and the low difference between top50 and top200 is very favourable for the players.
