Ahh those are straight UTC times, so no they didn’t change. DST changed.
But the knock on effect was that they did change for many users.
I live in the UK which has been using UTC for the last 6 months or so. The current GAC round started and ended at different times to normal, even though we are still observing UTC here.
Yes, that is what I was saying. DST goes into effect which creates a time change for international accounts. CG doesn’t change anything or adjust it themselves, everything still rolls at the same internal time. It would need to be adjusted by CG to not affect international accounts.
Than it would affect local accounts.
The only good way is how all the dailies are, set to UTC time with no care about DST. Than when a player shifts locally than they should know all thier times shift by an hour.
Or you know, one day the world will stop shifting clocks around
Yeah I’m wrong, so ignore me. :)
I realized after I posted my mistake, don’t know why I fixated on it. But I agree, especially about getting rid of DST."TVF;c-2411617" wrote:
It happens twice a year every year, just like I said. Dunno why people keep acting like this is new.
Because as said before, there -are- new players. Dunno why people keep forgetting this.
Also, as already stated, if you have the time change at a different time and that is what you know, you can't always remember, know or have in mind something from somewhere else. I am pretty sure even some Americans whom live there have it happen to them that they forget about it or they don't have it on their radar. I know it happens here where I live to people when we have ours.
On top of that, if the time change would be at a -different- day than the one they are familiar with, I am pretty sure lots of american players would have the same problems in game.

It actually won't affect USA, at least those that observes DST. We will see the events stay at the same times 1700 Eastern for ga "scuba;c-2411678" wrote:

I think you misunderstood me. I meant if the changes would be on a different day than it is in the US. For example if CG would be a german company and they would use our time, some of the US players would have the same problems like the non US players had. And I didn't mean that the players in the US were affected just that I am sure even US people forgot about it in general. When we have our time changes in Germany at least one person I know doesn't have it in mind and forgets it and I am sure this happens to Americans aswell. So if people can forget it/not have it in mind whom live in that same country, I think it is even more understandable if someone not from that country knows/forgets when it is, especially if it is a different date."LordDirt;c-2411677" wrote:

Because you were not affected, others were.
I still see no problem in trying to raise a fair request. If there would be an ingame message, it would in no way diminish or worsen anyone's playing experience but would actually help the international community.- DarthJobbie3 years agoSeasoned VeteranThere was still a time remaining icon
- DarthJobbie3 years agoSeasoned VeteranIn UK our time changes in just over a week but i can still understand how a countdown timer works. Is it ideal? No. But its there.
