- frieste334 years agoSeasoned Aceyou're above the A1 threshold, yes; but you're also below the K5 threshold (below 2970)...and my guess is: since you were relegated from K to A, you are in A1 for now. I might be incorrect, but this is my understanding.
- Quesovercoatl4 years agoSeasoned ScoutAs El Mago said at the end of the fight stage you dropped to K5 less than 2970.
Therefore you automatically get demoted to A1 at the end of event stage, You cant drop from K5 to A1 and bounce straight back
Then ( and this is what I believe ) they then look at your SR and place you in the division ( in you NOW league Aurodium ) that your SR puts you in, IE in you case 2954>2940, so you should be A1
I went from K5 to A2 but had lost 0-3 in last week so SR was 2862 which fits for the A2 range of 2820-2940 - M0st1yHarm1ess4 years agoSeasoned AceCG, will you please just get rid of the divisions? They serve no purposes other than causing all the confusion, anger, hatred, and... threads!
- harvestmouse14 years agoSeasoned AceI think Divisions are ok. I like them. I don't see the point of leagues though, or how they operate differently to divisions. How you can only change at the end of the season. I also think 1 division change per week is optimum, not changes mid-week, not multiple division changes at the end of the week.
Divisions can be an incentive. - M0st1yHarm1ess4 years agoSeasoned AceThe only real purpose divisions serve is to define the reward tiers. If they just tie rewards directly to SR rankings, there is literally no need for divisions.
In addition to reward tiers, leagues also define the format - numbers of teams, etc., so they can't really get rid of leagues altogether. - harvestmouse14 years agoSeasoned AceGoals? Wanting to get to a higher division. A skill rating figure has no meaning to it.
- Screerider4 years agoSeasoned AceYeah, OP, that K5-A1 End-of-Season swap is rough. You finished 3v3 in K5.
You'll just have to end next Season (5v5) in A1 and get swapped up to K5 at the End-of-Season.
Then kill it in the next 3v3 in order to end in K4 or higher, so you can climb Kyber in the following 5v5. - M0st1yHarm1ess4 years agoSeasoned Ace

Sure, "I just got into Kyber 4" sounds a lot more impressive than "my ranking just went up by 1000". But the thing is, people don't complain when they went from A1 to K4, but they do complain for a drop from K5 to A2, and they do that loudly. - harvestmouse14 years agoSeasoned AceWell a few options there.
1. Just have divisions, get rid of the leagues.
2. Transparent divisions with a bottom percentage getting demoted. This would also get rid of squish. It would also indicate better when a player is close to demotion.
3. As I said earlier. I don't see a reason to complicate things by having a different promotion system for leagues and divisions. Keep the leagues, but it's only a goal or guideline of how well you are doing. Rather than this weird thing we have right now.
Things could be a lot more simple and clearer. I think then we'd generally be happier and less confused. - M0st1yHarm1ess4 years agoSeasoned AceI can definitely get behind making things simpler and less confusing.
They can't get rid of leagues though. There has to be some tiers defining required teams.
