No, it is not rational. Comparing it to other competitive arrangements is NOT futile because there is a remedial competitive theory that makes sense. If not then you explain to me why someone should be punished for winning their match at the expense of a full clear. In what other competitive arrangement is LOSING a ranking strategy? Can you even do that? You can't, so don't waste your time.
