Top teams they were slightly higher but as soon as I don't beat on first attempt I run out of teams quickly as I start going into g9 instead of g12.
Why don't you win in the first attempt, then? Did you put your counter on defense? Do you even have a counter? Did you mod it well? Are you sure, total roster GP is your problem?"Lysandrax;c-2141521" wrote:
Only half a mil difference?
Impact minimal.
1mil+ difference?
Yes, this effects the match.
Check your own GAC history. That's not what decides the outcome of the round."Lysandrax;c-2141533" wrote:
For example waqui is probably half a mil higher in gp than me, but if we played it would be a walk in the park.
I highly doubt, we would be matched. Top-X GP etc.
But if we did get matched up what difference would it make if I had another 500k GP in unused characters or ships (1 million difference total)?"Waqui;c-2141558" wrote:

In case of tie you would win?"chmoAr0ufif0u;c-2141716" wrote:

The first extra 500k would suffice for that. The next 500k don't help one bit.- Funny that the same issues are still around. I thought I wouldn’t care anymore, but there are issues with matchmaking I am currently experiencing:
1) GP deviations of more than 15%: I have been matched with players that have 1mm more GP than I do. At 4.7mm vs. 5.7mm that is a significant difference.
2) Higher GP wins in a draw: Now this rule is completely backwards and adds insult to injury. If I am able to achieve the same score with less resources, am I not the better player?
But at this point we all know that CG doesn’t give one F and two cents and will not fix any of those things. - Total GP means nothing in GAC other than a tie breaker.
- 1) not true, having access to a greater number of higher leveled toons is and always will be an advantage, this is a counter game, having more toons to pick from to have a better counter effects the match.
2) the '70-80 toons' cannot be asserted, you might both lose a team. Maybe you both lose a second time. No one can pretend this doesnt effect the match and "thats your own fault" isn't sufficient.
GAC tie breakers are decided by something wholly out of the player's control, there will always be a bigger GP fish, it's not about finding something without flaw, it's about finding something less flawed. I do like the GP used suggestion. - I just fully wiped a guy about .75 million more gp then me... he couldn’t get pass my GL Rey on the bottom :) now if he had a GL I wouldn’t of had a shot with that much gp difference

1. The thing is, that the round winners don't use all those extra teams, they have access to. Last time we discussed this I actually checked your own GAC history. You yourself were using the same teams over and over again with only little variation.
2. Yes, players may lose a team on offense and still win. Sometimes 2 teams. At other times they win all battle in first attempt with several undersized wins. On average round winners use far less than 80 characters (in a 7 defensive slots scenario). Check your own GAC history, if you don't believe me. Matching by top-X GP is actually very close to matching by GP of the characters actually used to win.
