I wouldn't be shocked to see a level cap increase.
If they ever release 6-7 dot mods I hope they are implemented in such a way that we don't have to farm them, but rather upgrade our existing mods. For example...perhaps the new raid would drop mod upgrades you attach to 5 star mods...1 upgrade makes it a 6 star, 2 upgrades makes it a 7 star, and they could throw in the caveat that you couldn't add stats to it you already have...so you couldn't throw a speed upgrade on a mod that already has a speed secondary. Likewise that uber speed mod you have you could throw some extra protection or crit chance or something on.
Mod farming would be a lot less of a soul crusher if they did that...95% of your mods wouldn't be instant garbage because they didn't roll a speed secondary if you knew you could add speed to it later...but the speed value you could add us upgrade would only be average. Farming endlessly for those 15-20+ speed mods for your arena team would still help you out, but being able to add maybe +10 to any mod would certainly make it so the average player has more useful toons for various aspects of the game with a whole lot less annoying mod swapping.
