- 12hr phases would be bad no matter what time zone you are in. One phase may be convenient but the next would be the opposite. Assuming you sleep 8 hrs and work 8 hrs, you would have little time to do a phase. Especially if you sleep 8 hrs and get up and go to work for 8 hrs like a lot of people do.
24hr phases are doable. But anything less than that is just nuts. I like the 36hrs though and if they aren't going to double the tbs then there's no reason to cram it into 4 days and then have 2 days of nothing. - LendersQuizSeasoned RookieYes...........no, not really. 36 hours is fine.

- PersimiusRising ScoutFun fact: they didn't make them 36 hours on purpose. While they haven't told us the reasoning, I would bet cash money that we got 36h phases because they hard-coded TB to be a 6 day event and they couldn't change that without breaking Hoth.

So find a guild that doesn't span so many time zones.Enough time for what guild movement exactly? Are you in a rush in which you can't commit 6 days to one guild? Or is it just too demanding to merc HSR only once during two weeks a month instead of two times every week (by the way, this still can be managed with 6 day long TBs)?
I don't merc, though I know others do, so maybe it's a consideration. I am in an 11 guild alliance. Sometimes people need to move around, and squeezing that in between events can be tough.
Plus, honestly, do you really *need* 36 hours? Even for an international guild, 24 hours is plenty, and if it weren't for the idiocy that is platoons 12 hours would be more than enough as well. - PersimiusRising Scout

you realize that guilds "spanning time zones" isn't the issue with 12 hour phases, right? I mean, just ftr the earth isn't flat and it is sleep time in certain places while you are awake.- PersimiusRising Scout

of course time zones are the reason we don't have 12 hour phases, it just doesn't have anything to do with guildmates in other timezones.- PersimiusRising Scout
