So I am the leader of a guild that runs HAAT regularly, and I need to transfer the leadership to a friend. How do I do that? I created a case in EA help but I tried that once before and did not work. ...

Then when you leave the guild you will be given an option to transfer it to them.
If you are not stopping playing, they can invite you back in.
