Guild UI - must have member portrait and veterancy indicator. (use existing character icons)

So we need to tell apart old from new.

While everyone is fairly new, we need to manage our Guilds and tell apart performance and veterancy.

The most crucial matter to me is to be able to tell apart the less than week rookies from the rest.

People more than 1-week old inside the guild may be measured by the weekly contribution. If a person has less than a week, it must be given a free pass for a low weekly score.

I think it should be measured in weeks until the player becomes a month old. res

Taking the obvious out of the way:

The UI should use the character icons. Each player chooses a character icon from the characters available.

The 'Gear Rank' colored ring is used to measure the player's age in the Guild, IN WEEKS.

That serves to measure the amount of competence expected of him in farming coins and killing Rancor.

Not all portraits are available to the player.
Every time the player ranks up one level, the list of 'purchasable' portraits expands by 1 or more portraits. The player must also have activated the character to be able to purchase the portrait.

Every level gives the player 1 'customization point'. Each portrait can be unlocked for use with customization points. A character which unlocks at 1-star costs 1 customization point, a character which unlocks at 5 stars costs 5 customization points.

Customization points can also be purchased with shards in the shard shop (ratio TBD).

  • It would be easier just to add an elder status so you have

    Member
    Elder
    Officer
    Leader

    Like in most games.

We don't need customizable portraits. I'd much prefer the devs spend their time working on something more useful than that. You already have the tools to monitor daily and weekly which should be enough to know if someone is performing or not.
  • If you go into the manage section in the guild room, you can look at lifetime guild coins produced. You can also look at the players current team and their roster. Basically this info already exists.
  • No it doesnt.

The manage screen has a 'weekly coins' stat yes, and clicking on each player on the list has also some stats, but nothing tells us when the player joined the guild.

I'd like this portrait to be available to the side of each player's name, and the join date to be displayed in the stats.
  • If you touch the spot that says "weekly Currency" it changes to a different stat. Including weekly and lifetime guild currency or guild coins. Arena power, last log in, rank, and player level. Viewing lifetime currency, will allow you to tell who the veterans are v. Who the newcomers (or extreme slackers) are. Dividing the lifetime guild bank coins produced by 600 will give you a good estimate on how many days this person has been in your guild (assuming they are able to get the 600 everyday).

The problem is, without JOIN DATE, you just can't tell apart low performers.

It is important because there are guilds which are more casual, but others might want to set a baseline of minimum performance.

In our case, we do not want to just boot the low performers, we want to help them understand the rules and imrove their game. If they just don't want to play accordingto the guild's standards, only then we will show them the door.

Unless the guild goes to the effort of using a spreadsheet and log daily/weekly numbers to have a track record of the players, the UI does not tell enough to easily identify which players are in need of help, or plainly being willfully unhelpful.

You don't need useless purchasable character portraits to do that. Again, my earlier suggestion of an additional guild rank 'elder' or 'veteran' would solve the problem you have although I still don't believe it's necessary.

If you are a guild leader or officer then you should be aware of who is new and who has been there a long time. It's not that difficult.
