Guildmate separated from her account

Hoping someone can provide some insight, or direction as to where to go from here.

A long-time guildmate suddenly got separated from her account. When she logs into the game (on iPhone), it's to a new, level-1 account. Meanwhile, her actual account (pushing 8m GP) is still in the guild, with a new username, sitting idle for 6 days now. I haven't removed the account from the guild roster since it seems like it should be easier to pinpoint this way.

She's tried contacting Support and all of the folks she knows, including a couple of podcasters. Nothing seems to be helping. She's been directed to iTunes and the like (sorry, I'm an Android guy and don't know that stuff), but with that approach all roads lead to the new level-1 account.

She most definitely does not want to start over, and would like to keep playing the game (playing it and chilling with our guild helped her through chemotherapy), but has no ideas left. Is pretty much ready to give up, and it would be very sad to see that happen.

With the actual account sitting in our guild roster idle it seems like it should be simple for someone at CG to see that account had been connected to her, and reestablish that connection, or troubleshoot how the instructions given by Support have thus far not been successful.

If anybody can recommend a specific dev or Apple-genius who's seen this sort of thing happen before, we'd greatly appreciate it. Please either direct-message me here or contact me on Discord (DocDoom#3475).

If her account name has been changed that doesn't sound like a connection issue. That sounds like someone got access to her Game Center or Facebook profile, and used that to transfer her account to a new owner. I've heard of people getting their accounts back, but I imagine she'll need the Player ID (this is different than the ally code) and possible identify purchase history on the account. And you have to get the attention of an actual dev, I'd try the technical issues or bugs section of the forums. EA support will not understand the problem enough to be of any meaningful help.
  • It sounds more like someone like someone has used the "Right to be Forgotten" delete account button that exists on iOS.

If that's the case, it will be incredibly difficult to recover the account.

  • Thanks...she's tried all the usual recommendations. Including uninstalling and reinstalling the app; when she restarts it, she's tried via Game Center, Apple ID, and Facebook, but none of those can locate her original account. Since we have the account still in our guild, it's a fixed target--I'm just hoping someone at CG might be motivated to reach out to her and reestablish the connection.
  • Last plea for help here: We have her player ID. But searching to sync on swgoh.gg keeps failing; someone said that's because her account is "inactive." But she's only been out of the game a week.

Any ideas how to rescue her? She's been in this game for years and is really devastated by this turn of events.
  • The account has been sitting idle ever since she lost it, so hoping no miscreant is involved. Was also hoping someone might get me in touch with a caring Dev...but that's seeming unlikely. Thanks!

Thanks! This is what I needed.
  • And if it helps: Ally code 399-295-844. Account was named hippieartist, but when she lost the account name changed to Aria Curran.
