After I join, I always "enter" the GA to see the screen with my opponent as "????". Partly this is to see what the format will be (5v5 again, boring), but mainly it's to double check that my join actually worked.

They will forever be silent about this issue.. it has happened before and it will keep on happening. Best of luck getting in on GAC.

You don't know that at all actually. He probably did join just like the several others who joined, seen the player lock timer and got kicked from GAC still.

Bug report submitted but never get replies there. It’s not the first time

I started screenshoting the vs screen because instead of admitting that there are numerous issues with the game mode, they want to blame the players.

This is an ongoing issue. It affected me personally once in the warmup event. Best of luck getting a good outcome.

Same. One round during the warmup, my join did not work either. Bug report. No answer.

Now I am in the habit of making little 10s videos of me joining GAC and showing the current date. (Hoping at least I have proof if it happens again so I can request rewards to make up the difference.)
