Others have largely said what I’m going to say, but I’ll give you the perspective of someone who lives in the same country as you but is 30(ish) years older than you…
For Round 1 and Round 3 of almost every GAC bracket, my attacks happen in either the first hour or the last hour. Round 2 is different as attack phase is on the weekend.
Attack phase starts at 10pm. If I’m awake enough, I’ll attack but if I’m ready to turn in for the night (I’m old, remember) I won’t attack.
Then I wake up and go to work. Some people might have a job where they get opportunities to attack some teams but I don’t. After work I have to ferry my kids to multiple events, prepare dinner, prepare packed lunches for next day then get them off to bed. Hopefully this is all done by about 9pm at which point I try to attack in GAC - I sometimes forget and I’ve posted way more 0 scores than I’d like to admit.
So it’s first hour or last hour for me, and there will be many like me. Adjusting my schedule to prevent a stranger getting annoyed is not up for discussion.
Online gaming sometimes has us painting an unfavourable picture of our opponents. We imagine that they are deliberately and wilfully out to get us, checking the map repeatedly and choosing an attack time to cause maximum upset. The reality is it’s probably just a tired old man trying to squeeze in some down time at the end of a busy day.
