Unlocks at 85 shards
Couple of things here.
- Nothing unlocks at 85. It either unlocks at 80 or at 145.
- For whatever reasons, CG has decided that they aren't "shards" when talking about ships. They're "blueprints". (I don't care, I'm just trying to be helpful.)
Flarestar-class attack shuttle to assist
I think you need a shorter name than Flarestar-class Attack Shuttle. Even FC Attack Shuttle would work. Or put "Flarestar-class" in parentheses with a catchier, shorter name up front, like, "Pirate Shuttle (Flarestar-class)". The bit outside the parentheses could be something less boring or more specific like Boarding Shuttle or Captain's Gig or Swarm Shuttle or whatever. Not that those are less boring, but I'm just saying.
Now, if you intend to have more than one Flarestar-class ship in the game (eventually, not necessarily right away), then "Attack Shuttle" shouldn't be capitalized. In fact, it should be shortened and generalized to "Flarestar-class vessel". After all, the basic Flarestar ship can have its guns removed and its cargo capacity bulked up to become a Flarestar-class Cargo Shuttle, etc. It's not like a Flarestar ship can only be an attack shuttle. Also, there are more than a few ways of attacking, and you could have ground assault shuttles, etc., etc.
All of your writing seems to assume that there might someday be more Flarestar-class ships someday, so go ahead and plan for them. In this case the name of the summon can be something like "Swarm Shuttle (Flarestar-class)" to reference your ability to call infinite numbers of Swarm Shuttles (or as many as 5 minutes allows).
Speaking of that,
Name TBD (Cooldown 4 turns): Summon a Flarestar-class attack shuttle and it gains 20% bonus protection for 2 turns. If there is an allied Flarestar-class attack shuttle already present Corona-class armed frigate and Flarestar-class attack shuttle recover 40% health and protection.
This does not explicitly say that if there's a summon present that you can't get a second summon at the same time. There is precedent for summoning endless swarms with Vulture Droids, and for summoning more than one with Scythe's summoned TIE Fighters. You probably want to be explicit about whether more than one summon can exist at the same time.
Also, in this section, full capitalization is probably appropriate since you probably don't mean that if a non-summon Flarestar-class vessel is present the healing happens. Maybe you do, but if you want the healing to happen only when the summon is already present when you summon a new Flarestar, use the proper name of the summon, not just the class of ship.
My last comment for now is that the pirates were good at getting in each other's way. I like giving the summoned ships a drawback if you summon more than one at the same time. Imagine if the summon ability were written this way:
Fresh Blood (Cooldown 4): Summon a Swarm Shuttle (Flarestar-class) which gains 20% bonus protection for 2 turns. If there is an allied Swarm Shuttle (Flarestar-class) already present, all Swarm Shuttles lose 100% TM, then the summoning ship and all Swarm Shuttles recover 40% health and protection.
Note that I said "the summoning ship" just in case some other ship someday gains the ability to summon Swarm Shuttles.
Keeping with the idea of using the kit to simulate getting in each other's way, I would change the Swarm Shuttle's unique:
Unique Opportunity (Unique): When a scoundrel ally scores a critical hit one random Swarm Shuttle gains 5% turn meter.
If you only have one summon, then that ship gets all the TM. But if you have more than one summon, they split the TM gains. Hondo was always looking for business opportunities and even uses the phrase "Unique Opportunity" at least once. By referencing that it's good characterization, but it also hints at the way that the passive ability functions: only one ship can get the benefit of each unique opportunity, because it's unique.
Finally, I think the Corona-class vessel needs a name. I suggest "Mothership Ohnaka". We don't know the name of the actual ship in the SW:TCW, but it was referred to as the pirate mothership, and Hondo is certainly vain enough to name his ship after himself.
Thanks for the insight it is very helpful. I also really like the name Mothership Ohnaka.
