Increased prices in germany

Dears, could someone explain to me, why the shop prices in germany have been increased by 20%? We had to pay more in € than in USD as the exchange rate between USD and EUR has been 1:1, now the rate is 1USD= 1,20EUR. The actua rate is approx 1USD = 1,02EUR. Now the webstore is online which means that CG gets more money(because of avoiding fees for Apple/Google) for transactions, CG feels the need to increase the prices by 20%? It feels like robbery.....

Today the exchange rate is 1:1, in the last years Dollar was always weaker than Euro. All the years they used 1:1 That means we had always to pay more. Now we had a few days were the Euro was slightly weaker than the USD they changed the exchange rate. In the EU you just have to pay 20% more than in USD. I understand that ingame the rate is set by google/apple. But at least in the webstore they could use a realitic exchange rate. Or just let is pay in USD.

It will be inconvenient for international companies (outside of finance companies) to sell products at the current exchange rate. They would rather have a fixed price then perform the change when the exchange rate is more advantageous for them.
It will be annoying for everyone to buy a product where its price could change anytime, nowadays almost everything is imported/exported, would you mind buying your coffe (yeah coffee grain is imported) or any drinks at the current exchange rate?
And it is not just germany: https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/259331/raise-of-ingame-prices

I get your argument, but there are several mistakes. Most products have fixed prices, there is the exchange rate calculated, but we all know products with changing prices like fuel(3 or 4 different prices per day are normal) . The problem with that is that the exchange rate of the buying date of the endclient doesn't matter. The exchange rate of the buying date for the trader is always part of the calculation. Trader buys things on a particular day and can calculate their prices. Most goods in the world are shipped and part of those prices is always a currency ajustment factor(CAF, you can google this). My point is that this new exchange rate goes totally nuts. 1:1,20 are just 20% more profit. After years of profit due to a weak dollar. For CG/EA it is even more, because they avoid the costs for apple/google. And it is even worse in competitive game. An whale in USA needs 20% less than a whale in the USA( as the dollar rate drops again this discrepancy will geting even bigger)

I agree, this increase is even dumber for in-game currency since it is neither fiat money or cryptocurrency, it is created from nothing, cost nothing (or nearly nothing) to be created, is limitless and only usable in this game.
I can understand inflation on real product/service, but inflation on digital content is stupid.

If it was inflation in the game it would be ok. There are real costs behind this. Energy for servers, employees etc. But this change has only and impact on europe (perhabs there are equal stupid changes in other countries) I totally understand that the main fault is by apple/google. But I'm pretty sure that EA/CG/ Disney are big enough to argue with google/apple, if they would care about the players....
