So the topic says it all. I've been playing this game for a year and just today discovered "Allies" when someone sent me an invite. So how exactly did someone invite me and how do I start inviting others? What are the benefits of having allies? I take it I can use their help in battle but how do I go about doing that ? How does it differ from the "borrow a hero" feature?Thx

You know how you always pick a sixth toon for ds/ls battles? Most of those are allies

If you don't SIM during certain battles such as Light Side/Dark Side and Cantina, you are given a choice of allies to help during the battle. Some of these allies are actual players although there are a lot of computer generated generic allies. If you use the real player, you have a chance to send him ally invite after the battle. You also have chance to send ally invite to players that you have fought in Squad Arena. Last but not least, you can either ask for someone to give you their Ally code, or you give others your Ally code to get invited.

Hmmm ok but if I go to "manage" I only have 1 ally and I just got this ally today. So who the heck have I been borrowing toons from?How do I invite people to be my ally?

There's an Ally button by the left hand side where you can type in ally codes. How have you not seen this button for a year?

I guess I have never used a real player because never once have I ever been given the option to invite that player as an ally. Wow. Nor have I been presented a chance to invite squad arena opponents.

I've been playing for a year and just discovered this allies thing

Wow this is so weird. I just did a squad arena fight and it asked me if I wanted to send an ally invite. Never seen that before. What the heck happened with my game that it just started doing this today?

Was it your birthday today mol eliza?

Random side note: 74 is rather low level to have been playing a year (been playing since Dec 10th and I am 79), and rank 896 with only 92 arena wins in that time seems a little... lucky.

Do you mean you've been playing since last year?

Did you recently change device or reset device? Check if you can change your name now.
It sounds like you either grew up past the age restriction or somehow managed to register your age as not-underage anymore.

No I downloaded this game in early 2016 after force awakens came out. I played reaaaally casually for most of the time until the past couple of months.

actually that's not entirely true.

i'm EXTREMELY selective about who my allies are. i currently only have 6 but yet i always a huge number of hero's to choose from.

Someone else said that there are a ton of computer generated allies.

You can change your name.
on the main game screen you will see your level and a bar displayed in the upper left. You can click on it. Do so. Next to your name there is a little pen icon. Clicking on that will let you change your name. The first name change, at least, is free.
