I can see in the game how much damage my characters do at each stage. If a squad of Kelleran + Jocasta + 3 Jedi can close any category, then a squad of 5 Jedi without Kelleran and Jocasta cannot close a category higher than x1.5.

I fully agree with this analysis, but I disagree that it matters.
You can have all the Jedi Vanguard at relic 9 -- including JMMW, Jocasta, KB, Depa & TG -- and you can't complete a single tier of the inquisitor Assault Battle.
The Inq assault battle is not made to be played without Inquisitors.
The raid is not made to be played without specific characters.
The only difference is your perspective. You accept that you get no rewards from Assault Battles without relic'ing specific teams, but you do not accept that you get no/low rewards from the raid without relic'ing specific teams.
For your own happiness, I recommend acceptance. And if you need help with roster planning, modding or strategy, I'm happy to help via DMs or streaming. You probably don't need any (or don't want any), which is cool, but I just wanted to put that out there. I'm all for players having the happiest time playing that they can.
