The answer from your thread is also from another player . Anyways I might be wrong, if I have enough points tomorrow I will make a test and tell you for sure. I am pretty sure I'm wrong about the 5k, but I've got a feeling on the previous tournament I did spend this much for one of my toons.

They updated the refresh cost to max out at 2500 per toon per the game update on 12/6:

So it was impossible for you to have a 5000 per toon refresh. Since 3 other players in my above thread stated their refresh rate was following from the Dev email above, then the information I gave him is correct.
